What is Competitor Intelligence?

Competitor Intelligence lets you maintain a library of competing properties, fetch their live rates, and benchmark your own ADR against the market. Your rate is fixed at $150/night for comparison. The page stores competitors in the Competitor entity and fetched rates in CompetitorRate, with four tabs covering overview, history, parity, and alerts.

Fetch Live Rates

Simulates a rate pull for all competitors (visual chart). Admins also trigger the fetchCompetitorRates backend function, which stores 14 days of rates per competitor.

Add Competitor

Opens the add/edit form to create a new competitor property record.

Typical workflow

  1. Add your key competitor properties with their base ADR.
  2. Click Fetch Live Rates to refresh the overview chart.
  3. Review the Rate Positioning chart to see where you sit in the market.
  4. Check Price Parity to confirm you're competitive on standard rooms.
  5. Watch Rate Alerts for competitors dropping below your rate.
