Occupancy Calendar Guide

Occupancy Calendar Guide

A color-coded month calendar projecting daily occupancy and rate per property, with event-driven demand overlays.

What is the Occupancy Calendar?

The Occupancy Calendar generates a day-by-day projection of occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR for any property you've defined, using seasonal and weekend factors derived from the property's base rate and base occupancy. It overlays demand-driving ExternalEvent records on the affected days, and each day cell links straight into the Pricing Sandbox with that day's parameters pre-filled.

Property Cards

Click a property card to select it — its base rate, occupancy, and room count drive the calendar projections. Edit and delete buttons per card.

Add Property

Opens a form to create a new Property (name, location, segment, rooms, base ADR, base occupancy).

Segment Options

Budget, Business, Boutique, Luxury, Resort, or Custom — used for benchmarking.

Each day cell is color-coded by projected occupancy:

90% and above — high demand (green)
75–89% — healthy (gold)
55–74% — moderate (blue)
Below 55% — low demand (red)

Typical workflow

  1. Add your property (or select an existing one) in My Properties.
  2. Scan the month for red and green clusters — low- and high-demand periods.
  3. Hover event-marked days to see which events drive the boost.
  4. Click a high-demand day to jump into the Pricing Sandbox and model a rate increase.
  5. Click a low-demand day to test a discount strategy.
