What are Rate Recommendations?
The Rate Recommendations engine runs the generateRateRecommendations backend function, which blends competitor average rates, current/projected occupancy, demand scores, and event impact into a recommended rate for each room type and date. Each recommendation includes a confidence level, reasoning, and a revenue-impact estimate — and you can accept, reject, or apply it directly.

The header shows when the latest analysis was run. Use the Generate control to trigger a new run — the backend function produces a fresh batch of recommendations grouped by a run ID.
Analysis Parameters
Configure the analysis before generating: date range, room types to include, and how heavily to weight each signal (competitor rates, occupancy, demand, events).
Typical workflow
- Set analysis parameters and click Generate.
- Read the summary cards for the run's overall picture.
- Scan the 14-day forecast chart for rate-move patterns.
- Filter to high-confidence pending recommendations.
- Accept the ones you agree with, reject the rest, then apply.
